If you are trying to play a group of videos then one solution might be not to edit them but to use a player that will string together a set of videos when playing.
I notice my copy had an additional feature for letting you save AVIs from Quicktime Pro. Prism converts AVI, MPG, VOB, ASF, WMV, MP4, AMV and many more video formats. One thing to check though is MPEGstreamclip. You can also convert TS videos to audio formats like MP3, AAC, AIFF, ALAC. I can't speak from experience but it wouldn't surprise me if you couldn't find an editor to accept AVI with mp3 audio. AVI often has mp3 as the audio format which is not something used by Macs for audio with video. AVI is a container so it doesn't have a rigid set of formats for the enclosed tracks. You might give it a try (and report back here 🙂 ).ĪVIs might present problems. I haven't used it so I don't know how successful it is. QT Sync is a freeware utility that has a combine movies tool. Optionally, use the advanced settings to convert your videos to mp3 in the highest quality: Audio Bitrate - Choose a higher bitrate for better MP3 quality. I don't have any version of QT Pro more recent than about 1997. I can't guarantee anything but I think getting Quicktime Pro might let you do what you want to do.

I have had sound issues when trying to create a DVD from my movie files recorded on my JVC Everio.
Enter Converter option, then click Add Files to add video files or drag and drop the files into the conversion window. After installing the software, double click the software on the desktop to launch it.

I also know my ancient version of QT Pro will edit. I downloaded the Prism Video Converter software. and install this converter on your computer. I know QT player will play AVI when Perian codecs are installed.
